Die Schwierigkeiten theoretische Organisationsmodelle auf konkrete Fälle zu übertragen, besteht darin, dass wir es in der Regel von unterschiedlichen Begriffs- und Funktionswelten zu tun haben. Die Synchronisierung scheitert häufig daran, dass der Lösungsanspruch quantitativ und qualitativ zu hoch ist. Solche Aufgaben sollten stufenweise angepasst werden, wobei ein überschaubares Konzept sich bessergestalten lässt als ein überdimensioniertes, das nicht mehr beherrscht werden kann. Dosierte Anpassungen nach oben sind leichter zu realisieren als der "große Wurf".

Der Autor hat zunächst Betriebswirtschaft mit dem Schwerpunkten Treasuring und Controlling studiert und in namhaften Unternehmen angewendet - zum Teil als Unternehmensberater. Später hat noch einmal an der Universität Köln Wirtschaftspädagogik studiert. Es handelte sich um ein interdisziplinäres Thema, das Information und Kommunikation aus der Sicht der Informatik, der Organisationswissenschaft und psycho-sozialer Kontexte behandelte.
