Autorenporträt
Reinhold Urmetzer wurde 1950 in Saarbrücken geboren. Nach einer Ausbildung als Berufsmusiker studierte er Philosophie bei Karl Otto Apel, Literaturwissenschaft bei Fritz Martini und Komposition bei Erhard Karkoschka in Saarbrücken, Stuttgart und Tübingen. Er arbeitete für Fachzeitschriften, Tageszeitungen und Rund- funkanstalten und veröffentlichte zahlreiche Interviews, u.a. mit Franc¿ois Lyotard, Niklas Luhmann, Olivier Messiaen und Wolfgang Rihm. Wichtige Erfahrungen hat er in der Auseinandersetzung mit dem französischen Denken und der französischen Literatur gemacht. 1997 ist ihm ein Cicero-Rednerpreis in Bonn verliehen worden.
