About the author
James Lee Burke wurde 1936 in Houston / Texas geboren und wuchs in Louisiana auf. In der Küstenregion des »Bayou State« spielen auch die Krimis um Dave Robicheaux. Burke wurde für sein Werk mit zahlreichen Preisen ausgezeichnet, darunter mehrfach mit dem Edgar Alan Poe Award, dem Hammett Prize und dem Deutschen Krimi Preis. Burke lebt mit seiner Frau auf einer Ranch in Montana und in New Iberia / Louisiana.
