Die Autorin von die ,,Die Rolle Deines Lebens" ist Veronika Esslinger, die im Alter von 5 Jahren mit ihrer Familie nach Deutschland ausgewandert ist. Veronika ist eine erfolgreiche Geschäftsfrau mit einem eigenem Kosmetikunternehmen und Mitarbeitern. Zeitgleich gehören der Tanz und die Schauspielerei zu ihrer Leidenschaft. Die ,,Stadt der Engel" und ihre eigenen Erfahrungen im Leben inspirierten und prägten ihren ersten Roman. Veronika pendelt zur Zeit zwischen Europa und Los Angeles. Ihr Roman kommt zeitgleich auch mit einer englischsprachigen Version unter dem Titel ,,The Script of Your Life" heraus.
