About the author

John Alexander Gordis wurde am 21.07.1945 in Landeck/Tirol geboren. Die Familie wanderte 1949 nach Australien aus, zog aber 1952 nach Hamburg. 1961 erfolgte ein Umzug nach Wien, wo J. A. Gordis seine Matura machte. er studierte dann in Basel, Freiburg und Hamburg Geschichte, Jura und Medizin. Nach einigen Jahren als Krankenhausarzt führte J. A. Gordis eine Hausarztpraxis in Hamburg. Seit 2005 studiert er Theologie und Althebraistik. J. A. Gordis ist verheiratet, seine Frau und er haben drei erwachsene Söhne.
