Sissy Vogelsinger wurde in Wien geboren. Mit Hilfe ihres Mannes absolvierte sie in Feldkirch ihr Pädagogikstudium. Kurze Zeit später übersiedelten sie mit ihren beiden Töchtern für einige Jahre nach Südafrika. Die Zeit in Kapstadt war für alle ein prägendes und unvergessliches Erlebnis. Seit ihrer Rückkehr lebt sie mit ihrem Mann in Niederösterreich. Neben ihrem Job studierte sie Archäologie (Ur- und Frühgeschichte). Diese Leidenschaft bestimmt oft ihre Reiseziele, prähistorische Fundplätze auf der ganzen Welt. Sie liebt Märchen und Mythen, und das spiegelt sich in ihren Geschichten wider.
