Complete and unabridged, with 60 full-page plates by Vilhelm Arnesen, John Constable and Antonio Jacobsen. Bertie Wooster goes down to Brinkley Court to help two engaged couples, an aunt in trouble over a French chef, and a newt-fancier who needs Dutch courage before a prize-giving. Wodehouse wrote it in 1934 at the top of his form, and the prize-giving speech is the most quoted scene he ever staged. Jeeves solves everything by doing nothing until the last chapter. Sixty plates of Hampstead Heath by painters including John Constable and John Frederick Herring, Sr., give the heath and its weather the same steady, unruffled presence Jeeves brings to Brinkley Court.
