Beschreibung:
Complete and unabridged, with 57 full-page plates by Edvard Munch, George Bellows and Childe Hassam. A woman leaves an intolerable marriage and goes to California to act in the films. Vance wrote it in 1922 when Hollywood was new enough that a woman doing this was still plausible and unusual. This edition is bound with 57 plates of paintings from 1880 to 1928, among them works by Edvard Munch, George Bellows and Childe Hassam.
