Complete and unabridged, with 53 full-page plates by Robert Bevan, John Lavery and Thomas Gainsborough. An island in the eastern seas is left by will to two heirs who cannot stand each other, and the natives have views of their own. McCutcheon wrote it as a comic adventure and it moves at the speed of a farce. This edition is bound with a 53-plate gallery of paintings by William Logsdail, Harold Gilman, John Lavery and Spencer Gore, and includes three in-text illustrations restored and coloured.
