Complete and unabridged, with 59 full-page plates by Thomas Cole, John Constable and J. M. W. Turner. A fortnight in Ireland with a horse, a car and an eye for a garden - the country in the 1850s described by a clergyman better known for roses. Dean Hole was the first president of the National Rose Society and wrote about the Irish with unusual warmth for an English visitor of his date. This edition is 59 plates of painting, among them works by Henry Raeburn, John Constable and J. M. W. Turner.
