Complete and unabridged. The Tin Woodman remembers, after many years, that he was once a man engaged to a Munchkin girl, and sets out to find her — meeting on the way a tin soldier who had courted the same girl, and his own former head, kept in a cupboard and still talking. Baum wrote it in 1918, near the end of his life, and produced the strangest thing in Oz: a man made of tin arguing with his own discarded head. The girl has an opinion of her own about the reunion. Its 64 original illustrations have been carefully restored and coloured for this edition.
