Complete and unabridged. Ozma vanishes from the palace in the night, and with her the Great Book of Records and every magical instrument in the country — leaving Dorothy and her friends to search a land that has just lost its defences. Baum built the eleventh book on the one situation his fairyland could not absorb: a theft that removes the ruler and the means of finding her at once. The thief's hiding place is the best joke in the series. Its 81 original illustrations have been carefully restored and coloured for this edition.
