Beschreibung:
Complete and unabridged, with 56 full-page plates by Philip de László, Walter Sickert and Thomas Gainsborough. A girl raised in one room, kept from all knowledge of the world because of an illness, is finally shown it. Locke handles the sentiment carefully and the 1918 film gave Mary Pickford both leading parts. This edition adds 56 plates of painting bound with the text, among them works by Stanhope Forbes, Edvard Munch and James Campbell Noble.
