Complete and unabridged. A signpost outside the farm sends Dorothy down a road that does not go where roads go, with the shaggy man, a lost little boy called Button-Bright and Polychrome, the Rainbow's Daughter. They arrive in the Emerald City in time for Ozma's birthday, and every character Baum had invented so far comes to the party. The road is the plot, and the party is the point. Its 105 original illustrations have been carefully restored and coloured for this edition.
